[EVENT] Sing It Out!

Krem's post has provided the opening for this month's wonderfully ~musical~ event! Starting today any music you can bring to the shadows is going to be good music. There won't be a large event log for this event due to the nature of it, so it's all up to you this time. Don't judge me for using Miku as the header image of this...

In case a refresher from the plotting post is needed:

"This attack has rattled a certain avatar more than past ones, even though thankfully this time he wasn't regulated to a tiny orb of light. He was still pretty helpless in the long run, and this has spurred him in to a decision to at least try to keep the Queen out of the Altar Room from here on out.

Unfortunately when it comes to his powers, Ozuma is still relatively new to all of this and mistakes are bound to happen.

Starting on the 8th, the "easier" shadows (the ones that only pick up people or knock them down, not the ones with the energy-draining "poisons") will suddenly be even MORE attracted to the Altar Room than they have been in the past. They won't show up in massive numbers right away, but one by one they will start to infiltrate the area and skulk around, attempting to do what they do best - start trouble and drag people off.

However something else seems to be going on with them.

A rhythmic tapping, the hint of someone humming a tune to themselves or singing softly before they notice the shadow, an instrument being played near by-- hell even something like a music device of some sort falling out of a pocket or the ring tone of the new castle cell phones going off... however it occurs, anything musical suddenly have their attention in a way that's almost trance-like. The shadows will stop moving entirely so long as that musical something is happening within their presence. The longer it goes on, the more fixated they become. They will sway along with it, unable to continue on to complete their usual goal. Should it stop, they will begin to attack again as if nothing at all happened. If it starts up again, they will once more be put in to a trance-like state.

Should a song actually complete from beginning to end, however it manages to do so, they will simply turn around and fade in to smoke as if defeated even though absolutely no weapons were involved.

However you decide to do this is completely up to you, but it MUST involve music in some form or another, be it by instrument, voice, dance or all of the above. The more the song is "from the heart" (emotionally connected to the person performing it) the stronger it will be against multiple shadows. Unfortunately none of this is going to come with any sort of instruction manual and it's going to take communication between PCs to figure out how it all works, but the sooner they manage it the better.

Because it won't end there.

One week of semi-spontaneous musicality later, the stronger shadows will begin to make an appearance in the Altar Room and other cleared areas. Your songs will absolutely have to come from the heart, have some sort of relevance to your character in order to have any affect on these shadows. If you fail at this, you can kiss your behind goodbye because the Hallow Assassins and the Nightmare Stalkers are violent and lethal in their own right and will only be angered if you fail to give them a good show.

On the 19th it will all come to a head. All off this will culminate in a "boss battle" against the largest shadow to date. This will not only take heartfelt performances to beat, but working together as well, and it won't rest until you've convinced it (for whatever reason) that your heart and soul is truly within your music.

Time to dust off those tappin' shoes, everyone. We're about to get musical up in here."

Now do as the event says, go forth and spread your music to the wor-- er... castle!
